Exciting news! We are collaborating once again with The Sunday Times best selling author, Clover Stroud.
Clover's most recent memoir 'The Red of my Blood' is out in paperback in January and she is in the process of writing her fourth memoir.
What: Join us for an exclusive Memoir Writing Day Retreat with Clover Stroud
When: Saturday 18th March 2023 from 10am to 5pm
Where: This exclusive writing retreat will be hosted at Clover Stroud’s beautiful home in Faringdon, located not too far away from Oxford.
What to expect: A full day of learning, writing and nourishment set in a calming and relaxing environment.
This is a really special day, where you will learn about writing yourself and your story onto the page. Having written three memoirs, which have all been Sunday Times bestsellers, and another three commissioned to write, Clover could be described as the expert of memoir writing!
Over the course of a day, she will share her unique insights into the experience of memoir writing with you. Clover is a writer who has earned herself a hugely loyal following because of her breath-taking ability to write with real heart and true integrity. Clover will talk you through the experience of writing memoir, providing real life examples, and writing exercises to help you learn how to creatively channel all the feelings of your life.
This is an outstanding opportunity to learn more about memoir, from nurturing your earliest ideas, to structuring an outline, to learning how to channel your deepest emotions to create beautiful prose. She will also provide hints and tips on writing a proposal, getting an agent, and approaching a publisher.
Hosted at Clover’s beautiful and characterful home in Oxfordshire, you’ll receive a welcome goody bag, and feast on delicious local produce around Clover’s kitchen table for lunch. There will also be an opportunity, should you wish, to enjoy a brisk walk out to Clover’s fields, to get some fresh air between workshops and writing sessions, so don’t forget your wellies! You may of course prefer to stay indoors and stay snug with your notebook in the vibrant sitting room.
