Let’s talk about the basics.

"FINDING YOUR VOICE" with Ease
and author Laura Pashby
Friday 28th March 2025

In our notebooks, we press our past selves between the pages like diaphanous flowers,
so that we can look back and remember who we used to be.
‘I attended Laura Pashby’s Finding Your Voice workshop and it was just inspiring.
Open, honest and revealing. It reminded me why I write’ — Claire, 2023

WHERE: Spend the day with a small group of like-minded women in the most gorgeous venue
hidden away in the Oxfordshire countryside.
WHAT TO EXPECT: A full day of learning, writing and nourishment set in a calming and relaxing environment.
This is a really special day, where you will learn to find your voice and tell stories that capture
both who and where you are.

Laura Pashby tells stories using words and photographs. She is the author of the narrative
non-fiction Chasing Fog, which is published by Simon & Schuster and was described by Literary Review as 'a frequently beguiling and thought-provoking book'. It was by The Bookseller as an Editor's Choice non-fiction title and the I called it 'an exquisite piece of nature writing' in their 'Best New Books to Read in August 2024'.
Her first book Little Stories of Your Life is published by Quadrille. Illustrated by Laura's photographs, it is about the beauty of ordinary days, and the magic that we find when we pay attention to the details of our lives.
Laura Pashby has an MA in Modern & Contemporary Poetry from the University of Bristol.
She shares stories on Instagram (@circleofpines) on her bestselling substack Small Stories and in beautiful magazines such as The Simple Things, Ernest Journal and Country Homes & Interiors.
Over the course of a day, she will share her insights into writing stories of self and place with you.
Laura will talk you through the experience of writing yourself onto the page, providing real life examples,
and writing exercises to help you learn to channel your inner writer and capture stories of who, and where,
you are in your life right now. She will also offer advice on sharing stories via social media and / or Substack.
This is an outstanding opportunity to learn about finding your voice and telling your story with meaningful words and soulful images. Hosted in a stunning private residence in the Oxfordshire countryside, you'll
receive a welcome goody bag, and feast on delicious local produce around the dining table for lunch.
There will also be an opportunity, should you wish, to sit in the garden, to get some fresh air between
workshops and writing sessions. You may of course prefer to stay indoors with your notebook and get
cosy on the sofa. This will be a really beautiful and unique day which we hope will leave you creatively and spiritually inspired.
