"AT THE END OF THE DAY IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE OR EVEN WHAT YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED....
IT''S ABOUT WHO YOU'VE LIFTED UP, WHO YOU'VE MADE FEEL BETTER.
IT'S ABOUT WHAT YOU'VE GIVEN BACK"
Denzel Washington
IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE when you work with wonderful human beings.
IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE when those wonderful human beings share your goal on how to help others 'thrive not just survive' in life.
AND...
IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE when you are part of a tribe WHO WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
I am super grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such brilliantly talented folk throughout April, those of whom I am honoured to call dear friends and those that are, in their own right, an expert in their field.
I would like to this opportunity to thank my friends, THE EASE EXPERTS, for collaborating with me and sharing their top tips.
So to the experts...THANK YOU!
Each and every one of you. One way or another you have brought a little happiness into our homes during lockdown with your brilliant top tips and recommendations.
I'm sure like me, you the reader will have rekindled your love for one or more of the activities that were published here and on my social media platforms. So many of you commented saying how much you loved the top tips on gardening, baking, writing, photography, sewing, knitting, content writing and the list goes on. There were so many interesting topics and activities to learn how to do with EASE, I think I need another month to read and digest them all. Did you have favourite??
Working with the EASE experts has been a cathartic experience for me, as I promised myself I would dedicate more time to writing, especially through publishing more journal posts.
Since lockdown I set out to publish posts that would burst with good content, be insightful for the reader and more than anything be engaging.
It is early days but I am enjoying the writing journey, mainly because I collaborated with so many awesome people (you can see their wonderful smiles in the above photos) and I made a commitment to you my followers to write journal posts on a more regular basis.
For anyone who is thinking they wish they had more time to write or if only they were a better wordsmith, please don’t overthink it, just start, start writing now, because if I can do it so can YOU! The same goes for any of the other topics we have written about recently, be it art, gardening or sewing, Just give it at go, you might discover a new hobby.
Those that know me well, know I can easily be distracted by new projects. Oh and I’m the queen of procrastination! However, whilst I started to navigate life in lockdown, I thought to myself there was no better time than the present to start writing and journaling. Half an hour each morning. It really was that simple!
I was sat here wondering what differences have been I made in my life since lockdown, other than having the cleanest cottage EVER, there have certainly been are a few positive changes in my life...
1. I'm more present in the day whilst spending quality time with my family
2. I'm more dedicated to do more of what I love
3. I've felt happier with having less
4. I'm more grateful for what I do have
5. I'm less anxious about the things that are out of my control
I hope I'll be able to remain this way long after lockdown has been lifted. I like the new me! More than anything I love the fact I'm writing my way out of lockdown!
